The Woods

The Woods are a duo that make simplistic acoustic/folkish music . Woods employ  lovely trashed drums which underscore the incredibly cheap nature in which their albums are recorded.

The kickstart years

Thanks to Dougie Lampkin a generation of boys ( myself included ) spent the summers of the late 80’s building ramps and jumps in their back gardens – My dad could never find bricks and garden canes when he needed them.

Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci – Barafundle

 
Barafundle was the title of this 1997 album by  Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci.
The songs were  sung in both Welsh and English, and the album’s influences range from twee-pop to traditional folk music.
